FRAMING TIPS

Framing your new artwork made simple

Framing can seem like doing calculus, but here are tips and ways to make it less painful.

Scenic Route Shop pieces are available in standard frame sizes which takes some of the guesswork out of starting your frame selection.

Out of the Package
  • Do not bend or crease (if your piece is rolled, careful not to squeeze it while it’s still rolled)

  • Handle the art by the edges, try not to get hand oils on it

  • Keep the piece in the plastic sleeve until it’s ready for framing

  • If your piece is rolled and you are ready to frame it, unroll it on a clean flat surface and leave out with tissue on top until piece relaxes and flattens

  • Hang it at eye level

  • Try to avoid hanging it in direct sunlight.

  • Choose a simple mat to compliment your room color or a white mat for a clean look.

  • Enjoy your new artwork!
